Contract Management Division

The Contract Management office is responsible for the management of contractual relationships for the Miami-Dade County Health Department. All contracts entered into by the department contain a set of measurable and objective performance standards by which the contract provider's performance is evaluated. Performance contracting is an integral part of the Department's Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Management Process.

The Contract Management Unit is also involved in the following:
  • Preparing and negotiating the contracts
  • Processing the contract for review and approval
  • Processing, inspecting and approving invoices
  • Tracking the provider's expenditures
  • Developing of annual plans addressing the cycle of monitoring services
  • Consultative and technical assistance to department staff and providers on contract-related issues
  • Preparing and processing of Invitation to Bids and Requests for Proposals
