Congratulations to Frank Diaz Employee of the Month for May 2003
The Nominee is responsible for overseeing approval, training and monitoring of over 319 WIC vendors. By the way, the largest number of vendors of any county in the State.
Despite the volume, Mr. Diaz ensures all vendors are visited and have personal contact. Follows up on reported or perceived concerns.
He is also responsible for ensuring vendors correctly redeem over 3 million dollars in food instruments per month.
Mr. Diaz dedication and investigative audit abilities has reduced and/or eliminated fraudulent activities.
He and his staff conducted (35) stock audits resulting in disqualification of 8 dishonest vendors and recovery of over $228,500.00.
He is consistent and relentless in doing the best job possible at all times.
It's interesting to know that the error rate of Miami-Dade vendors has consistently declined because of Mr. Diaz ability and diligence. Low error rates reflect vendor compliance with program regulations.
He willingly and frequently handles any task requested and initiates assistance, and provides direct services in WIC clinics when units are short of staff. He also serves as a member of the Hiring Team for WIC Program. Mr. Diaz is always willing to assist other programs when needed without hesitation and with a smile.
