Mission
To provide a safe, healthy, and hazard-free environment for employees and visitors.
Activities
We work to control and reduce existing and potential hazards which may result in injuries or occupational diseases. Some specific initiatives are:
- Conducting and documenting baseline hazard assessments on a unit-by-unit basis
- Developing and implementing an incident/injury reporting-and-data-collecting system
- Developing and implementing a timely employee emergency/safety information dissemination system
- Developing and implementing a health-and-safety plan for the MDCHD
- Developing and implementing a violence-in-the-workplace prevention curriculum

We are located at the downtown facility of the MDCHD, in Building 1 - Room 208B, 1350 NW 14 Street, Miami, FL 33125. Our office phone is (305) 325-3114 and our fax is (305) 325-3222. Our office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
