Morton Laitner, Esq.
Chief Legal Counsel

Mort Laitner has practiced law for 33 years. He commenced practicing Family Law with the Legal Aid Society of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His next job was with Legal Services of Greater Miami where his unit handled approximately 600 cases a year.

Since l977, he has been the chief legal counsel for the Miami-Dade County Public Health Unit, where he specializes in public health law.

Mort has taught at University of Miami School of Medicine, St. Thomas University, and Miami-Dade College. He has lectured throughout Florida and Georgia on public health issues.

He has handled high-profile cases which received coverage on the CBS Nightly News, Life Magazine, Money magazine and New York Times.

Mr. Laitner is a graduate of the Southern University Law School and did his undergraduate degree at the University of Miami.
