Program Manager, STD
Thomas Burns serves as a Public Health Advisor, Field Assignee, Program Manager in a field position for the National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, & TB Prevention (NCHSTP), Division of STD Prevention Program. Mr. Burns has served the Miami-Dade County Health Department since 2001, overseeing programmatic activities of the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Prevention and Control Program.
Prior to his assignment with the Miami-Dade County Health Department, Mr. Burns had a wealth of experience working with State and local public health programs providing technical assistance and developing capacity building among various public health, non-profit and private and health-related organizations.
Mr. Burns received his graduate degree from the University Of South Florida College Of Public Health in Tampa, Florida.
