Planning
Planning is an essential function of the Miami-Dade County Health Department to prevent, control and mitigate the impact of natural or manmade disasters and respond in the event of a public health emergency. The MDCHD coordinates public health emergency response efforts of participating agencies; designs and delivers related training support for MDCHD employees, community groups, private industry, and volunteers relative to local jurisdiction plans. The MDCHD all hazards emergency plans are in alignment with local, regional and state emergency plans.
