Influenza Update

At the request of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Immunization Program (NIP), please ensure that the attached Influenza Vaccine Bulletin #2 for the 2005-2006 season is widely distributed to colleagues, members, coalitions, and partners with an interest in the supply, distribution, management and administration of influenza vaccine.

The Bulletin discusses the 2005/2006 influenza vaccine supply, provides links to all U.S. licensed influenza vaccine package inserts, offers updates on Influenza Vaccine Distribution and Administration and Influenza Vaccine Communications and Resources. The report notes that FDA has agreed to allow providers to redistribute influenza vaccine between/among themselves to remedy any misdistribution which may occur. Finally, the bulletin offers details on upcoming events such as National Adult Immunization Awareness Week (NAIAW) celebrated on September 25- October 3, 2005. Access the documents online at:
