Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
What is WIC?
WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum Women, Infants, and Children up to age of 5. WIC provides the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care.
How Do I apply for WIC?
To apply for WIC in Miami Dade call 786 336-1300, the tri-lingual information and appointment office. To apply outside Miami Dade call 1800-342-3556

The Miami-Dade WIC appointment office will give you a date and time for a WIC certification visit at a WIC office. At this visit, the household income and the medical/nutrition status of each applicant will be reviewed. On that day, you will find out if you and your children are eligible for WIC.
